The series follows Lizzie McGuire, a 13-year-old girl who dreams of being popular at school, with the help of her best friends Miranda and Gordo. Episodes center on Lizzie's life, dealing with her family, mostly her parents Jo and Sam and her younger brother Matt, and normal teenage life issues. Lizzie has an animated alter-ego that represents her feelings.
