More info

There was once a fisherman who lived with his wife, Islabil, in a pigsty, close by the seaside. The fisherman used to go out all day long a-fishing; and one day, as he sat on the shore with his rod, looking at the sparkling waves and watching his line, all on a sudden his float was dragged away deep into the water: and in drawing it up he pulled out a great fish. The fish told the fisherman he was actually an enchanted prince and begged the fisherman to let him live. The fisherman said that he has no intention of eating a talking fish and set the fish free - it darted away leaving a long streak of blood behind him on the wave.

The fisherman went home to his wife, Islabil and told her about the talking fish. Islabil asked him why he hadn't asked the fish for favours. And so the fisherman returned to the shore, asking the talking fish for favors every time his wife wanted something. In the end, the fish put them back in the pigsty from which they had come.
